Let’s ask ourselves this question: “What is truth?” The definition of truth is “the undeniable fact of what is,” but there are three major constructs of truth that exist, and we must be careful which one we follow—because following a false construct of truth can lead down a dangerous path of confusion and deceit.

The three constructs in question are: objective or “absolute truth”; subjective or “personal truth”; and normative/constructive, or “social truth.” We will examine each of these constructs of truth and review what Scripture tells us about them.
